Legal
Terms of Service
Effective August 25, 2026. These terms govern your organization's use of Overture. By creating or using an Overture account, you agree to them.
1. Your account and organization
An Overture account is created for a single performing-arts organization. You are responsible for your account, for the people you invite to it, and for keeping your organization's information — including your legal name and tax ID (EIN) — accurate. You must be authorized to act for the organization you register.
2. One organization is one legal entity
An Overture organization represents a single legal entity — one performing-arts business or nonprofit — with a single payout identity: one connected Stripe account and one tax ID. Multiple venues on one organization are that entity's own stages or spaces, not a way to run separate businesses under one account. If you operate genuinely separate legal entities, each needs its own Overture organization and its own plan. We may review, separate, or suspend accounts that run multiple distinct entities under one organization to avoid fees or plan limits.
3. Acceptable use
Use Overture only for lawful ticketing and event management for your organization. Don't misrepresent your identity, circumvent plan limits or fees, resell or share access outside your organization, attempt to disrupt the service, or use it to defraud your patrons. You are responsible for the events, content, and communications you publish.
4. Payments and payouts
Your organization is the merchant of record for its ticket sales: funds from your buyers settle to your own connected Stripe account, and Overture collects a platform fee on top of each sale. You are responsible for delivering your events, for refunds to your buyers, and for any taxes on your sales. Payment processing is provided by Stripe and is also subject to Stripe's terms.
5. Your data and content
Your organization owns its content and its patron data; you can export it. Overture processes it to provide the service. We don't sell your patron data. Handle the personal information you collect from your patrons responsibly and in line with applicable law.
6. Plans, changes, and termination
Paid plans and their limits are described on our Pricing page. You may stop using Overture at any time; we may suspend or end access for a violation of these terms (for example, the one-entity policy above) or non-payment. On termination you keep the right to export your data for a reasonable period.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Overture evolves; we'll note the new effective date here and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. Continuing to use Overture after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions? Reach us through the Contact page.
